Peiter Mortensen is a versatile individual who did not start his dance training until the age of 12. He began his training in : modern, hip hop and ballet. He then branched out to other styles as, contemporary, Latin ballroom, and the different styles of hip hop. He then began competing in jazz competitions across the west coast. He also started competitively dance with a ballroom partner in the state of Utah.

He has also done traveling in his short time as a dancer. He has been all over the west coast, New York, and as far as Hong Kong, China and parts of Europe. Out in Chine he was apart of the 2012 Chinese New Year Parade as a U.S representative with his group The Vibe Tribe. With that group he also appeared on the dance television competition show Live To Dance created by Paula Abdul. Some of his other experiences have been dancing with the Jazz cheerleaders, training with professional dancers from So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars. He also was a principle dance for the Hallmark movie Dear Dumb Diary. Some of the other groups he dances with currently are Odyssey Dance Theater and Urban Dance Organization also known as U.D.O. With both groups he has performed locally and out of state.

Peiter has started spreading his knowledge and experiences with the new and old generations of dancer as a teacher in contemporary, hip hop, and ballroom. He recently became apart of the teaching staff at a branch of the well know Millennium Dance Complex here in Salt Lake City. His is also spreading his wisdom with other studios around the Salt Lake and Utah counties.

Besides his love of dance Peiter also likes to indulge his time  in playing sports such as baseball, basketball and football. His past times also include: going to the movies/drive in, power tumbling, and hanging with his close friends and family. Peiter hopes to spread as much knowledge and talent he has around the world as a dancer.
